Room Management

Rooms are at the heart of LodgeKit. Each room represents a bookable unit — a cabin, site, apartment, or hotel room. Navigate to Dashboard > Rooms to see all your rooms at a glance.

Creating a Room

Click Add Room and fill in the details: name (e.g. "Cabin 4"), room type, nightly rate, and maximum capacity. You can also add a description and notes for internal reference. Click Save to create the room.

Room Types

Room types help you organise similar rooms together. Common types include Studio, One-Bedroom, Two-Bedroom, Powered Site, and Unpowered Site. Set up your room types first, then assign rooms to them. This makes filtering and reporting much easier.

Room Status

Each room has a status: Available (ready for bookings), Occupied (currently booked), Maintenance (temporarily unavailable), or Out of Service (long-term unavailable). Status updates automatically based on bookings, but you can override it manually for maintenance or closures.

Managing Amenities

Go to Dashboard > Amenities to define what each room includes — WiFi, air conditioning, kitchen, parking, etc. Assign amenities to rooms so you can filter and match guests to the right accommodation.
